Yejin Lee is the Director of Development at Civic Hall, and is working to set up sustainable fundraising programs in support of the organization’s ambitious and game-changing vision. She comes to Civic Hall with five years of fundraising experience, most recently as the Manager of Development Operations at Young Women’s Leadership Network, and two years as a community organizer at the NYC Anti-Violence Project, where she supported LGBTQ communities and leaders in addressing issues of intimate partner violence and sexual violence. Combining her background in anti-violence organizing, organizational problem-solving, fundraising, and development operations, she strives to be a part of systems- and culture-change movements that promote the operationalization of equity. Yejin is interested in modifying traditional fundraising practices to ultimately advance the sustainability and impact of programs and to improve internal practices and operations so that they reflect organizational values.
When she isn’t obsessing over equity-based organizational change management, she is probably cooking (and eating) all kinds of labor-intensive foods, hanging out with her jazz musician husband and sassy dog in Brooklyn, or furiously annotating her favorite TV shows.
