Information for Action won Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas competition with our app that finds actions you can take related to what you’re reading about online. So the next time you read articles about issues like the climate change armageddon, failing health systems, or LGBTQ inequality you’ll be able to do something about it.
We’re launching our free platform in NYC by bringing together community leaders, tech innovators, civic engagement lovers, and people who simply care for our launch celebration! We’ll showcase the platform, highlight amazing organizations posting actions, and invite you to help us find new and open ways to fast-track change. Oh, and there’ll be refreshments and great music.
It’s free to attend, just like the app. You can also join as a community founder. All paid ticket proceeds will sponsor the action campaigns of nonprofit organizations fighting for the issues you care about. Founding members also receive inclusion on our memberships page, get previews of our latest features, and can suggest improvements.
This event is co-sponsored by The What We Do Now series which connects the Civic Hall and Personal Democracy Forum communities around the most urgent issues facing civically engaged organizations and individuals. This event series, curated by or in partnership with, Civic Hall will continue to foster cross-sector collaboration to leverage the use of technology for the public good.
