Issie Lapowsky is a journalist based in New York City, covering election 2016, technology and politics, and national affairs for WIRED as a senior writer. Previously, Issie covered tech startups and had the pleasure of interviewing the founders of great companies, including Twitter, Square, eBay, Box, Coursera, The Huffington Post, and many (many) more.
Prior to covering this beat, Issie worked in the features department at New York Daily News, where she covered fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle. She reported from red carpets and the front row of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, while also writing stories on the exciting lives of everyday New Yorkers.
Outside of work, Issie is a theater fanatic, travel addict, and world news junkie.
