Refuge Redesigned: Immigrants and Asylum Seekers discuss Homelessness and Housing

Location: Cafe

12:30pm - 2:00pm EST

Civic Hall and Streetlives welcome RDJ Refugee Shelter and immigrant community partners for a discussion on homelessness and housing from the perspective of refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers.

Featuring RDJ Refugee Shelter and guest participants of lived experience, topics will include culturally specific issues around taboos, gender identity and immigration-related discrimination, and explore ways to bring the voices, perspectives, and feedback of homeless immigrants into service design.

The session will look for opportunities for community action and technology solutions that are inclusively designed and built with immigrant, refugee, and asylum populations.
