Using Patreon to Fund Yourself

Location: Cafe

12:30pm - 2:00pm EDT

This is a brown-bag Lunch and Learn event at Civic Hall and will take place in the café area on Wednesday, November 29th.

Patreon is a platform for creators and organizations to get paid each month for things they’re already making, by the people who are already enjoying their work.

YouTuber, Podcaster, and Civic Hall Organizer-In-Residence Jackson Bird uses Patreon to fund his creative and activist pursuits. Having run multiple successful six-figure crowdfunding campaigns, he’s also had a front-row seat to the development of twenty-first-century patronage culture as a competitor to advertising-based revenue and other traditional funding models.

Join him for a background on the platform, context on similar models, and a step-by-step guide on starting your own Patreon today.

This workshop is not affiliated with Patreon.
