Civic Hall Launches Civic Health at its Bernard Goldstein Center

March 18, 2026

New York, NY — Civic Hall today announced the launch of Civic Health, a new international platform dedicated to advancing innovation that keeps people healthy before they enter the healthcare system. Civic Health will serve as an international platform headquartered at Civic Hall – The Bernard Goldstein Center, with quarterly convenings and working councils focused on AI and health infrastructure, capital deployment, and scalable innovation.

Co-hosted by Fedcap, the Digital Health Hub Foundation, and StartUp Health, the Civic Health Forum will convene investors, AI innovators, healthcare providers, payors, policymakers, and founders for a half-day summit focused on a central challenge: how to build systems that prevent illness and improve health outcomes at population scale.

“Civic Hall was created to be a place where technology, public policy, and innovation come together to solve society’s most pressing challenges,” said Christine McMahon, President and CEO of The Fedcap Group, the global nonprofit and parent organization of Civic Hall. “With the launch of Civic Health, we are bringing together leaders across sectors to reimagine how innovation, investment, and technology can prevent disease, expand access, and improve wellbeing for the millions of people who remain outside traditional healthcare systems. This initiative reflects Fedcap’s long-standing mission of advancing economic mobility and wellbeing, particularly for individuals and communities facing systemic barriers.”

The initiative will debut with the inaugural Civic Health Forum on June 16, 2026, bringing together leaders across healthcare, technology, investment, and public policy at Civic Hall in New York City. The inaugural Civic Health Forum will feature strategic discussions, curated founder showcases, and structured investor meetings designed to catalyze partnerships, investment, and real-world deployment of innovations that expand access and improve health outcomes.

“At a time when AI and new technologies are accelerating discovery, we have an opportunity—and responsibility—to ensure innovation benefits everyone, not just the few,” said Unity Stoakes, Co-Founder, StartUp Health. Civic Health is about aligning innovators, institutions, and communities around a shared mission: solving the most urgent health challenges facing everyday people. We’re honored to partner with Fedcap and Digital Health Hub Foundation to help spark a new era of collaboration and action for the health and well-being of the 99%. We invite you to join us on June 16th to kick-off this amazing mission.”

While billions of dollars are invested each year to optimize treatment within healthcare systems, far less capital is directed toward the upstream innovations that prevent illness in the first place. Civic Health aims to change that by aligning investors, innovators, and institutions around scalable models that improve health outcomes before people require medical intervention.

“Health is shaped far more by the conditions in which people live, work, and learn than by what happens in a doctor’s office,” said Dr. Jay Varma, Senior Vice President of Health and Chief Medical Officer at The Fedcap Group. “Civic Health is about mobilizing technology, data, and cross-sector collaboration to address those upstream drivers of health. By bringing together AI leaders, investors, providers, and policymakers, this forum will help accelerate practical solutions that improve health for entire populations.”

The initiative also reinforces Civic Hall– The Bernard Goldstein Center’s role as a national hub for technology and social innovation, where leaders across sectors collaborate to address major civic challenges — from workforce development and digital inclusion to public health and economic mobility.

The Civic Health Forum will take place on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM ET at Civic Hall – The Bernard Goldstein Center, 124 East 14th Street, New York City. For more information visit our program page.
