Civic Hall to Host AI Innovations in Government: Opportunities and Challenges Conference

NEW YORK, NY – Civic Hall – The Bernard Goldstein Center, in collaboration with MTX and the Fedcap Community Impact Policy Institute, is hosting AI Innovations in Government: Opportunities and Challenges Conference, taking place on February 11, 2025, at the Craig Newmark Auditorium and conference center.

This dynamic event will convene government officials, AI leaders, industry, and policy experts to explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in public service, workforce development, and digital governance. Attendees will gain critical insights into how AI is shaping government operations and the policies needed to ensure responsible innovation.

The conference will feature distinguished speakers and expert panels, including:

  • Morning Keynote: Neil Katz, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Eyelevel.ai
  • Panel on AI’s Impact in Government: Featuring experts from the New York City Police Department, New York City Department of Education, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and New York City Department of Health
  • Lunchtime Keynote: Hon. Michael Balboni, President and Managing Director of RedLand Strategies, discussing “Emerging Threats of Malicious AI and How to Safeguard Against Them”
  • AI and Policy Panel: Exploring regulatory frameworks with leaders from AI for Nonprofits, Statewide Public Affairs, United Way of Greater NY, and Macaulay Honors College

In addition to panel discussions/keynotes, attendees can participate in:

  • AI demonstrations showcasing cutting-edge government technology
  • Co-working and networking sessions for professionals and changemakers
  • Workforce development workshops focused on AI-driven job opportunities
